From St Michael�s Hotel you can walk across to the sandy beach, along the Coastal Path, up to the historic Pendennis Castle built by Henry VIII, look across some of the best inland sailing waters in the world to St Mawes, explore the historic port and town of Falmouth, and visit the fabulous, new and widely acclaimed, £28million National Maritime Museum, Cornwall. After lunch perhaps take a boat to Truro and visit the famous Cathedral. Outside of the hotel there is much to explore at all times of the year. There are terrific golf courses and over 10 renowned gardens to visit within half an hour. The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Tate, St Ives are all within 45 minutes drive. Above all though, there is the natural beauty of Cornwall's 300 miles of spectacular coastline with dramatic cliffs, beautiful estuaries, hidden coves, creeks, harbours and fishing villages.
