The Magpie's Nest is a beautiful old house set in a terraced row of bed and breakfasts (B&B) and guesthouses in South Shields, South Tyneside, and is owned by Billy and Chris Taylor. When they bought the property in September 2002 it was in serious need of TLC. Chris and Billy set about lovingly restoring the property with enthusiasm and a wad of cash. They've tried not to spoil the character of this charming old house but did not want it to be yet just another guesthouse with frilled duvets, floral curtains, clashing carpets and bad taste floral arrangements. The accommodation is modern with simple bare walls, tasteful prints, pristine bed linens and superior fittings in all the en-suite rooms.
