Originally an 18th Century Lakeland farm house, the Embleton Spa Hotel (formerly Derwent Lodge) has both en suite accommodation and luxury apartments. A 14 metre indoor swimming pool and gymnasium facilities are underway and should be complete by January 2009. Apartments sleep from 2 - 8 people, all have unique character and charm and finished to the highest standards. Some apartments have their own private balconies, air baths or power shower/aromatherapy shower. Embleton Spa Hotel (formerly Derwent Lodge) is ideally located in the Northern Lakes and is situated just off the A66. The market towns of Cockermouth and Keswick are approximately 10 minutes away by car.
